2023 Honda Passport Comparison Highlights
Fresh from its latest restyling, the 2023 Passport sports a rugged new exterior design, and with more standard features than ever before, it's ready for all the adventure you can throw at it.
For the model year, the Passport lineup has been expanded to include the new TrailSport model, which features upgrades designed to deliver expanded off-road capabilities. With a 10mm increase in track width, prominent skid plates, and wide machined 18-inch wheels, the Passport Trailsport brings more capability, versatility, and durability to Honda's largest five-passenger SUV. There's also plenty of flare to amplify the TrailSport model's spirit of exploration, including orange TrailSport badges, orange contrast stitching throughout the interior, and unique logo embroidery on the seats.
For the mainline models, the Passport EX-L now stands as the base model, but there's nothing base" about it, as it includes lots of standard equipment other manufacturers would usually list as optional. Examples of this newly added content include leather seating, a one-touch power moonroof, a power tailgate, and 20-inch alloy wheels.
Under the hood, every 2023 Passport is propelled by a potent 280-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine that features direct fuel injection and variable cylinder management. Along with quick acceleration, the 262 lb-ft of torque means the Passport is capable of towing 5,000 when properly equipped.
Two-wheel drive is standard on the Passport EX-L, and can be upgraded to a class-leading i-VTM4 torque-vectoring all-wheel drive system. On the TrailSport and Elite models, all-wheel drive is standard, giving you excellent off-road traction management with four intelligent modes: sand, snow, mud, and paved roads.
In the passenger area, you'll find a simple and comfortable layout along with plenty of space, especially in the second row. The rear seats can easily accommodate an additional three adults, and offer almost as much legroom, shoulder room, and hip room as the front seats. Leather-trimmed surfaces, tri-zone climate control, and heated front and outboard rear seats mean everyone can stay comfortable no matter what the season is.
Connectivity and infotainment are handled via the 8-inch Display Audio system, which comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration as well as a wireless phone charger. There's a 12-volt power outlet and plenty of USB charging ports so that everyone can keep their devices charged while using the available Wi-Fi hotspot.
In addition to making the act of driving easier, the standard Honda Sensing Suite offers safety and assistance features that help protect passengers, whether you're adventuring with the family or commuting to work. Highlights of this advanced system include Road-Departure Mitigation, Lane-Keeping Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Collision-Mitigation Braking.
